I vividly remember the first time or so far the only time I actually went inside the lighthouse. It was hot, humid with the sun on the top and the lighthouse stood tall, whitewashed. There was a queue to get inside since there were a lot of tourists that day. We awaited our turn in the scorching heat. Finally we got moving and began climbing up the winding stairs. Within the lighthouse, there were various things nautical mainly ropes and wheels, that’s all I recall though. We climbed for a few minutes more and waited for some more, since the people who were up at the top were taking their own sweet time. Finally, it was our turn and there it was, the sea!
Oh what a sight it was!
Calming, soothing and inviting.
